Where cultural understanding, community engagement and project delivery meet.

Who We Are

Nyungarni Heritage Services is a 100% Aboriginal owned and operated consultancy providing practical, on-the-ground cultural heritage, community engagement and heritage approvals advice across Western Australia. We support organisations to meet regulatory obligations, work respectfully with Traditional Owners and manage heritage risk in ways that are culturally appropriate, outcome focused and sustainable.

Led by Yamatji-Nyoongar professional, Denzyl Moncrieff, Nyungarni Heritage Services brings real-world experience across on-Country engagement, heritage surveys, statutory approvals and complex project delivery in the resources, renewable energy, infrastructure and government sectors.

Nyungarni Heritage Services exists to bridge Aboriginal cultural knowledge, regulatory requirements and real-world decision-making. We advise proponents on how to engage respectfully with Aboriginal communities, navigate heritage processes under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972 and develop heritage management approaches that reflect cultural responsibility, legal obligations and long-term accountability.

Our role is not to promote or oppose development, but to ensure decisions affecting Country are informed, ethical, accountable and grounded in cultural respect. Our work prioritises respect for Country and community voice, while helping clients reduce risk, avoid disputes and build stronger, more credible relationships with Traditional Owners.

Our Services

Our Approach

Plan with Purpose

We begin by understanding your project in its full context including the Country it sits on, the heritage considerations involved and the regulatory pathway options ahead.

Our early advice helps identify risks, obligations, and realistic options before issues arise.

Engage With Respect

We work directly with Traditional Owners, Prescribed Body Corporates, and project teams to support culturally appropriate engagement and heritage processes.

Our approach prioritises cultural protocols, community voice and practical coordination that respects both people and project realities.

Deliver With Confidence

We help translate community engagement, heritage work recommendations and regulatory conditions into clear advice, documentation and practical advice on the next steps.

The result is stronger decision-making, reduced risk, and outcomes that stand up culturally and ethically.
